Ukraine and the Impact on DBA Industry

Tuesday
2:00 – 3:00 pm

Grand Ballrooms 11 & 12
Convention Level

The United States has offered support to Ukraine in response to Russia’s aggression in eastern Ukraine. Since the start of 2022, the U.S. Departments of State and Defense have committed $54 million in humanitarian assistance and an additional $350 million in security assistance. The demand for private military contractors (PMCs) through DoD contracts in Ukraine is rising by the day and is expected to be constant for the foreseeable future. This topic will focus on the anticipated need for PMCs in Ukraine for both security and infrastructure support, concerns regarding DBA insurance policy underwriting, and the impact of the use of PMCs in Ukraine on the DBA community.
