WCI Gives Back

2019: 1,200 Volunteers | 156 Companies | $100,000 Raised

Since 2012, WCI has supported Give Kids The World by hosting an annual Gala to raise money and bringing hundreds of volunteers to complete Village service projects.

Postponement Of 2020 GKTW Service Day and Gala

With social distancing in effect, mandated small groups, and the uncertainty of the Village’s reopening, the Workers’ Compensation Institute has elected to postpone the 2020 GKTW Service Day and Gala to 2021. That said, we are aligning with the Village to help facilitate and support individual companies or small groups in assisting the Village once it has received clearance to reopen.

What can we do now?

  • Advocate for GKTW Village on social media. Now more than ever the Village needs us to advocate for them on social media to get their name out there. We encourage all of our industry peers to share the GKTW website, promos, and any upcoming virtual volunteer/fundraising events the Village has planned on your own social media outlets to increase awareness and participation.
  • The WCI GKTW Committee is discussing the possibility of hosting a virtual online auction in lieu of the Gala to provide the WCI community an opportunity to continue donating to the Village. More info on this will be shared with you as it develops. Stay tuned!
  • See below for a personalized video to the WCI community directly from President and CEO of Give Kids The World Village – Pam Landwirth

We are so grateful for everyone’s willingness to embrace change and your continued commitment to support GKTW Village in the face of adversity. As we come across additional ways that WCI can support the village, we will most certainly communicate them to everyone.
