About Give Kids The World Village

One of less than 1% of all U.S. charities to receive Charity Navigator’s highest rating 17 years in a row, Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides children with critical illnesses and their families from around the world with magical week-long wish vacations at no cost.

More than 30,000 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with a critical illness each year, and half of those who are eligible for a wish choose to visit Orlando. Give Kids The World is the nonprofit that fulfills all of these wishes. From life’s simple pleasures to the stuff that dreams are made of, every wish family is treated to an all-inclusive experience including transportation; accommodations; all meals and snacks; nightly entertainment; donated theme park tickets; daily gifts; and non-stop fun at the Village, a storybook destination all its own – featuring an array of accessible rides and attractions. Since 1986, nearly 200,000 wish children and their families from all 50 states and 77 countries have been welcomed to the Village to laugh together, play together, and create priceless memories away from hospital stays and medical treatments.

Give Kids The World’s mission to create the happiness that inspires hope for wish families is made possible by the generosity of caring corporate partners and individual donors. For more information, visit www.gktw.org.

Friends & Family Program

2024 Friends & Family Donations

Through the WCI F&F Program, individuals and companies are encouraged to create a team page to help our fundraising efforts for Give Kids The World. While the success of our event relies primarily on the generous company sponsorships received throughout the WCI industry, the F&F Program was created for the individuals and friends within each company who also wish to donate to our overall cause… $5, $10, $25, etc. Every donation counts and helps us reach our goal. Once a team page is created, a link to your team page can be shared with your “Friends & Family” to help raise money for the kids and families of the Village and WCI’s overall goal for 2024.

Give Kids The World relies on the generosity and compassion of partners like WCI and caring individuals like you, and contributions in any amount will be greatly appreciated. Those who make a contribution will receive a special thank you letter from the Village. On behalf of WCI, the Spirit to Serve Committee, Give Kids The World Village, and the countless families around the world served by this remarkable nonprofit, thank you for your consideration.

2023 GKTW Initiatives

Dear WCI,

On behalf of Give Kids The World Village, thank you to the Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI) and its members for helping us fulfill our mission to create happiness, inspire optimism and ignite an enduring sense of hope in the hearts of critically ill children and their families from around the world during magical week-long, cost-free wish vacations in our whimsical nonprofit resort.

Over the past 10 years, WCI companies and associations have raised more than $1 million for the Village – including a record $218,000 in 2023 under the leadership of the WCI Spirit to Serve Committee. In addition, more than 600 WCI volunteers devoted their time, talent and passion completing 25 service projects last year at the Village to ensure every family enjoys a joyful, truly unforgettable wish experience.

With a record number of wish families now visiting the Village each month, the need for funding has never been greater. As we celebrate 38 years of spreading joy and changing lives, please help us keep founder Henri Landwirth’s promise to never turn a wish child away by participating in WCI volunteer and fundraising activities in 2024.

We are grateful beyond words for WCI’s tremendous support and look forward to seeing you soon in The Place Where Happiness Inspires Hope.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Pamela Landwirth

2023 GKTW Initiatives: By The Numbers

  • Amount raised – $218,000
  • Number of volunteers – 600+
  • Gala attendees – 600+
  • Gala sponsors – 63
  • Companies at the service day – 107
  • Number of workhours – 2 Months
  • “The 2023 WCI, Give Kids the World charity event was a huge success! Over 600 volunteers showed up to volunteer and participate in over 25 service projects, which were all going on at the same time. What we were able to accomplish in 2.5 hours would have taken the village 2 months to accomplish with their limited manpower. Furthermore, our Gala and fundraising efforts which included sponsorships from over 63 WCI companies, along with our much-anticipated silent auction and family and friends’ program, raise over $218,000 dollars this year; which allowed us to hit our $1 Million dollar mark in total funds raised for the village over a 10 year span. A special thanks to everyone who played a part in our event this year. The village and more importantly, the kids and families who will benefit from the donated time and money you gave, truly appreciate it. (More than you may realize). Thank you! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!” – Doug Clark, AVP Client Services, Sedgwick Claims Management Services
