About Give Kids The World Village

Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit in Central Florida that provides critically ill children and their families with magical weeklong wish vacations at no cost. Every child and his/her family is treated to accommodations, transportation, donated theme park tickets, all meals and snacks, nightly entertainment, daily gifts and more. Since 1986, GKTW has welcomed more than 177,000 wish families from all 50 states and 76 countries to laugh together, play together, and create priceless memories away from hospital stays and medical treatments. GKTW relies on the generosity of caring individuals and corporate partners to make these life-changing experiences possible. For more information, visit www.gktw.org.

Since 2012, the Workers’ Compensation Institute has supported Give Kids The World by bringing hundreds of volunteers to work in Village venues and assist with Village service projects. WCI also hosts an annual Give Kids The World Gala which includes a sit-down dinner, silent auction, and entertainment.

WCI has raised $783,829 for GKTW over the past 7 years! The 2022 GKTW Service Day, Gala, and Silent Auction raised $150,000 to support Give Kids The World Village!

Brand New Friends & Family Program

2023 Friends & Family Donations

Through the WCI F&F Program, individuals and companies are encouraged to create a team page to help our fundraising efforts for Give Kids The World. While the success of our event relies primarily on the generous company sponsorships received throughout the WCI industry, the F&F Program was created for the individuals and friends within each company who also wish to donate to our overall cause… $5, $10, $25, etc. Every donation counts and helps us reach our goal. Once a team page is created, a link to your team page can be shared with your “Friends & Family” to help raise money for the kids and families of the Village and WCI’s overall goal for 2023.

Give Kids The World relies on the generosity and compassion of partners like WCI and caring individuals like you, and contributions in any amount will be greatly appreciated. Those who make a contribution will receive a special thank you letter from the Village. On behalf of WCI, the Spirit to Serve Committee, Give Kids The World Village, and the countless families around the world served by this remarkable nonprofit, thank you for your consideration.

Donating – If someone does not want to join as an individual or a team, and they just want to make a normal donation

  2. In the new website, select how much they would like to donate and either as a one time gift, or monthly
  3. Fill in all personal information and their card number
  4. Submit!

To join as an individual – If someone wants to join the page as an individual

  1. On the main page, click the green box that says “Become a Fundraiser”
  2. Select “As an individual”
  3. Create an account, and then you are all set!

To create a team – If someone wants to start their team company page

  1. On the main page, click the green box that says “Become a Fundraiser”
  2. Select “Create a team”
  3. Create an account
  4. Make your team name, enter your fundraising goal, and add the team title line
  5. You are given the option to make a short URL for the page. Example would be: give.gktw.org/Sedgwick

Once it is set up, you will join as an individual and share the page!

If a team page is already made, and I want to join the team – there are two ways for this. The first is to click on the team or go to the page that was made, and join the team as an individual. The second way is selecting the green “Become a fundraiser” box, and selecting “Join a team”. Here they can either search the team name, or by the captain (who made the page).
