The COVID-19 pandemic and its associated economic conditions have created an environment of labor shortages and mass resignations across industries. Employers in many blue-collar sectors, where employees were already in short supply before the pandemic, have experienced the greatest labor pinch. When employees are in short supply, lost workdays and return to work programs take on increased importance.
